Arrival Fast Track: Luggage Help or Car Already Included?
In our published arrival tiers, luggage help starts at VIP and a private car at VVIP. What that means before you add a porter or car line. Read 23 Oct 2026.
Look inside the tier before you add a line
If you book our arrival fast track at Saigon, Hanoi or Da Nang, luggage help and an escort to your vehicle come with VIP, and a private car between airport and hotel comes with VVIP. The entry tier, Standard, has neither. Adding a porter on top of VIP, or a car on top of VVIP, would pay twice for the same service.
What follows covers only this overlap on arrival. Statements about us come from our product page (last modified 22 August 2026) and FAQ page (3 September 2026), read again on 23 October 2026. Figures for other sellers come from their public price pages read the same day. Those are commercial pages, not official ones, and several do not say what a line includes.
Each step up, and what it adds
Each step is priced per person, in US dollars.
- Standard to VIP: 15 more. Luggage help and the escort to the vehicle.
- VIP to VVIP: 15 more. The private car. Our FAQ gives 70 in total for a lone VVIP traveller on arrival.
- Arrival from 20:00 to 06:00: 8 more per person.
- Phu Quoc: two published levels only, and no price is given for the car level, so the car comparison below does not apply there.
- Children: under 11 pay 75% on the product page, while a Da Nang guide of ours gives a different rule (child rate from 15 for ages 3 to 10, free under 3). Confirm a child’s price when you book.
The car: per person inside the package, per car outside it
Cars sold alone are priced per car in the lists read: 20 for four seats and 25 for seven at one seller, 20 for seven seats at another, 29 for four or seven seats (economy) at a third. The author’s arithmetic follows, by day, adults only: VVIP against VIP plus one separate car at 20 to 29.
| Travellers | VVIP | VIP plus separate car |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 70 | 65 to 74 |
| 2 | 120 | 110 to 119 |
| 3 | 180 | 155 to 164 |
| 4 | 240 | 200 to 209 |
Our page does not state the size or class of the VVIP car, and the separate cars come with other sellers’ terms, including night rules those pages do not give. Inference: the packaged car is not the cheaper route for two travellers or more. It buys one booking and one handover instead of two. For a lone traveller it sits inside the other route’s range.
Luggage help: a tier step here, a line elsewhere
Other sellers list luggage help as an add-on to their entry level: 20 at one, for arrivals at Saigon, Hanoi and Da Nang, and 15 in one Saigon guide. None gives a per-bag price or says whether the add-on is per person or per booking. On our list the same help is bundled with the escort in the 15 step.
So a luggage line on top of VIP repeats what the tier holds. On top of Standard it is a separate choice. Inference: it fits best when one seller supplies both line and escort, because the pages read do not say how a line bought elsewhere would meet you at the belt.
Scale: what the ride costs without a package
Fares below are in dong. The bracketed dollar figures use an assumed 25,000 dong to the dollar, a rate to check on the day.
- Saigon: taxi 150,000 to 200,000 plus a 10,000 toll (about 6 to 8); Grab, Be or Xanh SM 130,000 to 170,000 (about 5 to 7). Source: an airline page, read 19 October 2026.
- Hanoi: GrabCar 250,000 to 400,000 (about 10 to 16); metered taxi 350,000 to 450,000 (about 14 to 18). Source: travel guides, read 23 October 2026.
Inference: where the ride is that cheap, a car inside a package pays for a driver waiting with your name, not for the distance.
When the extra adds nothing
- Cabin bags only: luggage help has nothing to carry.
- Someone is meeting you: a car line is a second ride.
- A taxi suits you: the car step costs 15 per person for a service you did not want.
- A package named Private Airport Welcome, on a guide page of ours, combines lounge entry, an electric cart and a private car at no stated price; a separate car repeats part of it. A lounge pass is no use on the day you land: the guides consulted say most lounges sit airside and serve departures.
Departure lanes, round trips and lounges have their own overlaps, covered in the bundle price checks and the lounge entitlement check. Ask in writing: is the line already inside my tier, is the price per person, per car or per booking, and does a night rule apply to my landing time? The booking form’s price on the day is the one that applies.
