Vietnam Airport Lounge: Check What You Already Have

Before paying walk-up for a lounge at Hanoi, Saigon, Da Nang or Phu Quoc, check airline, card and package access. Prices read on 10 Oct 2026.

Three things to check before you pay at the door

Before paying a walk-up fee, check whether your airline already gives you entry, whether a card you hold is accepted at that exact lounge, and whether a package you have bought already includes lounge access. The walk-up prices recorded on 10 October 2026 run from about 16 to 55 US dollars, depending on the airport and the lounge, and a lounge pass does nothing on arrival, because the lounge guides read describe most lounges as airside and for departures only.

Only the Vietnam Airlines facts below come from an official page. The lounge prices and card rules come from lounge-guide and operator pages, so check them with the lounge or card provider on your travel date.

What may already cover you

  • Your airline. Vietnam Airlines has a Lotus Lounge at Hanoi, Da Nang, Cam Ranh and Saigon, free for Vietnam Airlines and SkyTeam passengers who meet its criteria. Business Lounge e-vouchers can be bought, valid for 6 months; the price was not on the page read. The lounge service does not include SkyPriority or the aircraft shuttle.
  • A card. Priority Pass is recorded as accepted at named lounges at all four airports below. At Hanoi, an Amex Platinum card gives Priority Pass, and DragonPass works at most lounges. At Saigon, DragonPass and LoungeKey are recorded as well.
  • A package. A KissTour guide page names a premium Private Airport Welcome that bundles a private car, an electric cart and lounge entry, and shows no price for it. If you buy that, a walk-up lounge pass repeats the lounge part. Among the fast track tiers recorded for this page, none is described as including a lounge, and one provider lists a lounge as an extra with no figure. Whether a top tier such as CIP or VVIP includes one is not recorded, so ask in writing.

When a lounge adds little

  • On arrival. The guides read describe most lounges as departures-only, so a pass bought for the day you land adds nothing.
  • When you already have entry. An airline entitlement or a card that the table lists for your lounge makes the walk-up price a second payment for the same seat.
  • When the wait is short. Every lounge stay length recorded is between 2 and 4 hours, and most are 3 hours. Inference: if you will reach the gate area close to boarding, you pay for time you will not use.
  • When the lounge is in the wrong terminal. Hanoi lists lounges in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and Da Nang splits international and domestic lounges between terminals. Check that the lounge sits in the terminal your flight uses.

How it fits with fast track

A lounge is airside. The departure lanes that providers list are check-in, immigration and security, which come before the lounge. Inference: the two sit on opposite sides of passport control and do not repeat each other, so buying both does not pay twice for the same step. The overlap risk is a bundled package, so read what it lists.

Before you pay

  1. Does your airline ticket or status give lounge entry on this flight?
  2. Is your card listed for this lounge, and does it need an app check?
  3. How many hours does the pass cover, and can peak times restrict entry?
  4. Does a package you already bought list a lounge?
  5. Is the price per adult, and what do children pay?
